no the wii wont be the victor as the ps2 is still in the running and considdering the wii is still last gen apart from its new motion controller its in competition with the ps2 so i guess the true victor is the ps2 as for this gen the 360 is doing quite well for now only its using last gen HDMI connections (no high speed HDMI, lossless audio, lip synch or deep colour, over 1080p)HDMI version 1.2 is not upto date and its maximum res limit is 1080p 1.3b can do higher than 1080p and has all the extra features like high speed and deep colour, (its only a matter of time before the ps3 gains the advantage of a newer HDMI connection a better future profed HDMI connection.) this is a one horse race the 360 is no match for the ps3 and will soon join up with its brother in the "lost the battle for domination" domain.

This article is about sales. Not everything is about graphics. If any of you were able to open your mind a bit (and actually read the article) then you would realize the real video game juggernaut here is the Wii. I am an xbox 360 fanatic, and I also enjoy the PS3 and am considering buying after I researched the new game called MAG coming out for it. However, if we are talking about which console is "better" then I would argue that the Wii is, knowing that the vast majority of it's games are fun sacrificing graphics while the Xbox and Ps3 comes out with games like X-Blades and Fairytale fights. If you are arguing about graphics then of course there are going to be people debating between the PS3 and 360. If you are arguing about overall profit and replay value then in my opinion, the Wii will be the victor.

lol ok time to end the 360 is best argument, the 360 de interlaces its 1080i signal to 1080p its not a true 1080p signal, the 360 has a HDMI vesion 1.2 port which is out dated and wont make full use of 1.3b HDMI cables so if youve bought an expencive 12bit 1.3b HDMI cable for your 360 you wont see any difference from a cheap crappy 1.2 HDMI cable only the ps3 offers HDMI 1.3b clarity and deeper colour tones and better richer sounds, only the ps3 offers future proffing (all 360 conversions on ps3 use 15% of the consoles resorces compared to the 360 using 100%) games like uncharted 2 and MGS4 can never be ported to the 360 not cause of the size of the games but due to the 360 not being powerfull enough to run them.

as future game gevelopment gets more expencive along with the push for getter bigger games with amazing graphics comes at a price to the 360 with its last gen resources such as dual layer dvd roms and HDMI version 1.2 and its cpu already struggling to push out games similar in comparison to ps3 exclusives in terms of graphics and game size, the ps3 has blu-ray which at the minuit is already 5.5 times bigger than dvd9's due to increase in size with the demands of the games industry it also has HDMI version 1.3b which is the industry standard not to mention the shear computational power of the console still in its early days we are yet to see just how powerfull the ps3 realy is.

i know a lot of pc owners will argue about this but this is all about games consoles and has nothing to do with pc games/gamers besides pc gamers will some day create an emulator on the pc to emulate the ps3 though i think thats still a long way off as even now some current pc's still cant run emulation of ps2 hardware without some problems.

the main benefits of the ps3 are that its almost 99% pirate free (in other words hardly any pirated software along with nearly no games being hacked so people can cheat online, only some sad people have created a lag switch which is a pathetic way to win online and anyone caught using one deserves to get banned from the service)plus online is completly free to play and DLC along with movie rental/purchase is onpar with XBL (the service you have to pay for and only get a little bit extra DLC and movies but not worth it anymore).

to any 360 fanboys its time to wave your white flags and give up, you might have got your console out first but as with anything the better console is fighting back and by xmass 2010 the 360 will be in last place FACT.

if someone who plays only XboX360 'cos they're ''fan boys'' and think the ps3 is worst I suggest them to play Uncharted 2 / Killzone 2 / Gran turismo 5(when launched) on a good full hdtv with hdmi and then play some dvds with the upscale function to full (which , if dvds quality is 1 and blurays 10 then an upscaled dvd via hdmi is a 7 ) then browse the net a bit AND THEN SAY THAT IT DOESN'T WORTH BUY A PS3.I've gave up the x360 1 year ago and bought a ps3.it's like making a step in the future.

PS3 60Gb original has today refused to read a disc of any sort (CD, DVD or a PS3 Game), following adice from Sony Support it appears the machine is broken.  The console boots, can play downloadedmdemos and will play music over the network vai a media server.  The problem appears to be just the DVDDrive.  An almost identical failure happened to our PS2.  Care has always been taken of the machine, it does not get particularly dusty, does not get left on when not in use and is freestanding to help the heat dissapate.  Am I just unlucky that both my PS2 & PS3 have died in the same way a year or so out of their respective warranties?

it is going to be the next best thing onlive is going to provide some realistic competition to the ps3, the 360 trys to do that but is failing thats why M$ is releasing NATAL later this year only its going to fail as anyone who wants to look like a prat waving there arms around in there living rooms as thats the only place its going to work, no one will buy natal for there bed room (where the majority of gamers have there consoles) besides the best form of motion control is on the wii at the moment till the ark comes out.

at least sony actually though about it (M$ has even taken out the technology from the natal sensors and it going to run a program on the console to keep the costs down lol), once the 360 goes we will finally see just how good multiformat releases can get on ps3 till then all we get is shoddy 360 conversions.

oh and my loyalty towards the 360 is comming to an end since ive been playing ps3 ive actually got to like it, actually like it a lot the online multiplayer servers dont lag as much theres just as much content available for ps3 as there is for 360 and to be honest most of the exclusive games for 360 dont appeal to me like left 4 dead (good game but gets very boring very quickly) mass effect 2 lol got board of the first one so the second games realy doent intrest me, maybe theres only 1 game due out soon "crackdown 2" but thats it as for multiformat games ill be getting all those on ps3 and only getting the exclusives for 360 lol all 3 a year.

lol lets face it the 360 was good but its pretty dead now, this time next year microsoft will be annoucing the 360 replacment only after the fiasco with the rrod and disk donuts and old dvd roms with no use for the HD DVD rom drive (wasted oportunity) who is realy going to invest in microsoft next console (apart from fanboys).

onlive if anything will change the face of gaming forever, like its been said it can be used on slow crappy pc's or standalone box either way the games are gonna be rented more than bought and as theres no need for download well no download at all there no piracy at all no hacking nothing its like renting a game from blockbuster only you dont have to worry about sending it back as you never recieve the game in the first place it just stays on your onlive profile and as far as im aware the cost may be as little as £5 a month per game, 8 months for any current full price game plus the system can be upgraded for better graphics ect at no extra cost to the end user. over all a bl.oo.dy good idea considdering how expencive this gen of games consoles has been, but you can build a fairly powerfull pc for £250 you just gotta know what your doing and where to get the parts from.

what exactly as the pc as a games machine got to do with which is the the best console and which is the the more powerfull. everybody knows a games console who ever makes it will not and never will be able to keep up with the tech of  the latest pc as they are not designed to be upgraded. Gameing on the pc is in decline anyway from what it was a few years ago most games come out first on the consoles as that is where the money is. and what sort of pc would you buy for the cost of a console thats say around £250 a low end machine and what are you looking at for a high end gameing pc around or over a £1000. and if this onlive lives up to all the hype who will need a state of the art pc or console for playing games on any old pc will do,  the only thing with onlive is how much is it going to cost.
