Sony's next-gen DVD format set for official unveiling at CES...


Sonyâs expanded presence at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2006 will provide the platform for specific launch plans to be unveiled for blu-ray it has today been announced.

Despite the planned announcements itâs believed a spring 2006 launch is still being prepared for the new format, with the release of the Playstation3 likely to perform a significant boost for the format.

However with support from Microsoft towards HD-DVD and the millions of PCs that use Windows, could the next-gen DVD war actually be another conflict between Sony and Microsoft or will the allegiance from entertainment giants prove to be the deciding factor.

lol also for anyone with a brain you can buy a western digital 2.5 sata 320gb hdd for just under £50 twice the size for the same price as buying the 80gb with the 320gb hdd as the 160gb ps3 (lol yet again another sony rip off for the uk) whos c... [ Read full comment... ]

Why do people say its ffVII sequel!!! If you read the initial story it says it has nothing to do with ffV11 and its not an RPG!! Chances are there is no big announcement and it was a big joke!!
