Konami announce specific Xbox enhancements, including all new game mode and visual improvements.
Konami of America recently released details about the enhancements being made to the Xbox version of Silent Hill 2. Most notably a new game mode, when players start the game can choose from the main scenario, titled Letter From Silent Heaven, which is essentially the same as the PlayStation2 game, and a new Xbox-exclusive mode, titled Sub Scenario: Born From A Wish.
In this second mode you take the role of Maria, the mysterious woman whom James Sunderland initially meets in Silent Hill. The mode offers around 4-6 hours of extended gameplay, and explains certain plotlines that remained a mystery in the PS2 version.
In addition to the extra mode, the game is set to feature visual enhancements, including new lighting effetcs and the ability to switch off the noise filtering so that you can appreciate the fine detail.
