Martin Hollis’ studio confirms official PSP developer status...

Zoonami today sent word to TVG that it has recently gained the status of an official licensed developer for the Sony PSP, marking the UK developerâs first foray into the world of handhelds.

Development began on proprietary PSP technology and tools back in February 2005, and whilst details on forthcoming titles have yet to be disclosed, we can expect exciting things from Martin Hollis and his team.

âWeâre very excited to expand our development strategy to include this new and innovative platform,â says Martin Hollis, Zoonamiâs founder and director. âThe PSPâs wireless and networking capabilities offer many intriguing possibilities for handheld game design in every game genre.â

Given Hollisâ previous inclination towards Nintendo, Zoonamiâs results on the PSP will be an intriguing prospect; weâd assume that the rhythm/action game, Funkydilla, will be heading to the format, but weâll have to wait before discovering what else lies in store.

Weâll have more information soon.
