Famitsu awards the new Zelda a perfect score of 40/40; making it only the fourth title to do so...
Weāve heard unconfirmed reports that the respected Japanese gaming publication, Famitsu, has awarded The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker a perfect score of 40/40 (10/10/10/10); previously this accolade has only been given to a handful of titles, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Vagrant Story and Soul Calibur.
This score has got us even more excited then we were previously about this hot title, many believed that Famitsu would downgrade the game considering that it is heavily based on the mechanics set out in Ocarina of Time; a similar method was seen in their review of Super Mario Sunshine.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is released in Japan and is guaranteed to shift GameCubeās like turkeys flying off a shelf at Christmas; a specific European release date has yet to be set for Europe, however weāre guessing June 2003 will be the time to mark in your calendar.
