The world’s most popular web game comes to the PC and PSOne…
JoWood has recently confirmed plans to bring the highly popular Yetigames to the PC and the PSOne. Yetisports Deluxe started out as a simple Flash mini-game, and became very popular on the internet with over 2 million unique users in the month of February, which quickly doubled to beyond 5 million in March.
For those not in the know (however we seriously doubt anybody wouldnāt) Yetisports is a series of games set in the South Pole. The games inspiration came from the Olympics, with events such as the hammer throw, however Yetisports changes the hammer to penguins and has 4 unique games.
The games are Pingu Throw in which you hit a penguin as far as you can and hopefully it will land on its stomach and bounce even further unlike the penguin coming to a dead stop by landing beak first.
The second game requires you to throw snowballs at the penguin so it lands in the ice which has a target on. The penguins are flipped up by an Orca whale and you have to time it right to throw the snowball.
The third game is known as Seal Bounce in which you throw the penguin (like the hammer throw) up and hopefully the penguin will hit seals and go higher and higher and record the height the penguin goes before falling back down.
The forth and final game of the series takes place somewhere else. This time its warmer, in fact a lot warmer as the setting is taken to Australia. The requirement in this game is to get the penguin on an albatross and you will then take control of the albatross to see how far it can travel. You will have to make the albatross to flap its wings but upon flapping itās wings it will lose energy.
The PC and PSOne versions feature the inclusion of multiplayer modes, whilst you can guarantee weāll be seeing lots more of the fluffy Yeti and his friends in the future.
Alternatively you could just check out the TVG Arcade and compete against other readers to see who is the ultimate Orca Slapper.
