Kazunori Yamauchi, Producer of the Gran Turismo series has recently talked about the troubles of porting Gran Turismo 4 to the Sony PSP.
In regards to the actual conversion, Yamauchi-san claimed that development is fairly straightforward as the specification of the PSP is close to the Playstation2; however he claimed that because handheld titles need to be sold for less, that the overall development budget of a PSP title is considerably less then a Playstation2 title.
As such Yamauchi-san signals a warning to those wanting to create epic titles for the PSP that would be more akin to home console titles on the Playstation2.
Certainly this brings up a valid point and is likely to be important when it comes to the development decisions of PSP titles.
