The rumours begin to accumulate as the countdown to E3 continues; could these images point to Microsoft's own version of Home...
If July is the silly season for football rumours to hit the headlines, then the same can be said for the videogames industry, as the countdown to the conventions gets underway.
Coming just a couple of weeks after a series of leaks revealed apparent images of 'Avatars' supposedly heading to Xbox 360 later in the year and the first news of Forza Motorsport 3, two images have emerged online rumoured to show Microsoft's own take of the PS3's social networking world, Home.
Entitled 'My GamerPad' (see what they've done there?), the two grainy shots show a more casual approach to virtual worlds, with one even including the back of what looks like one of those leaked Avatars. Whilst the images have now been taken down from one source, 4chan, NeoGaf's forums remain to show the two off.
Microsoft has given a reassuring statement that it doesn't comment on rumour or speculation, but let's hope that this is one of many pre-E3 rumours currently doing the rounds. Whilst the Redmond Corporation has been trying to attract a more casual audience to balance out its core base, any social network world would have to be a separate application - they won't want to alienate the Xbox 360 hardcore after all.
