Online reports suggest that Microsoft's platform could be about to drop further in price; Arcade system to more than match Wii?


With Wii continuingly nabbing the casual/family market and a resurgent PlayStation 3 expected during the course of the year, the spotlight is inevitably turning towards Microsoft's next move - which may be made within the next couple of weeks.

Reports from UK trade mag MCV have today suggested that retailers have already bee made aware of the price drop, with speculation that it could come as early as March 14th.

Although official confirmation is yet to be made by Microsoft, some online sources have pointed towards the Arcade SKU dropping to around £140 - £30 cheaper than Wii, with possible reductions to both the Pro and Elite units.

i bought a ps3 and i HAVE not looked back. even if alot of the games don't utilise it's 8 core (just for you 360 fanboys that's 6 core more than your pathetic dual core) processor well but in time they will. i think the 360 is at it's peak and won't ... [ Read full comment... ]
