Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility In Japan News

Consider yourselves lucky with the 200+ titles Microsoft has confirmed for Europe...


Xbox owners disgruntled by the lack of backwards support on the 360 for classics such as Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and well over 300 others can take some solace from the fact that anythingâs better then Japan.

Despite making a reasonable commitment to backwards compatibility across N America and Europe, Japanese Xbox 360 owners will be able to select from just 12 titles including:

- Crimson Skies
- Fable
- Forza Motorsport
- Grand Theft Auto Double Pack
- Halo
- Halo 2
- Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack
- Jade Empire
- Ninja Gaiden
- Ninja Gaiden Black
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3
- The Simpsons Hit & Run

Naturally it could be argued that these are the only games to sell more then a dozen copies across Japan and the issue of Xbox backwards compatibility is hardly going to be a compelling purchase point for Japanese gamers; however consider yourself lucky youâre not an Xbox fan living in Japan.

Hahahahahaha I can't stop laughing. Sony released the trophy system for about a day or so and then cancelled it because they found out the expansion was causing a lot of their consoles crash so now their repair shop is full. Oh and the only game that... [ Read full comment... ]

oh and on the subject of power, POWER IS NOTHING WITHOUT GAMES THAT ACTUALLY MAKE USE OF IT. and so far only 1 game on the ps3 has(mgs4) the rest dont even try and bizarly i thought burnout was supposed to be designed for playstation yet it coulndnt ... [ Read full comment... ]

oh and one more thing about the 360's wireless controllers, once the rechargable battery packs die if anyone has ever had that, at least they dont have to buy a new controller unlike the six @sses controller the only other things the 360 doesnt have ... [ Read full comment... ]

Xbox 360 is great consul as was original Xbox both better than PS2 but now it's THE PS3 i prefer as its all rounder wiht Blu Ray and it's future proof...PS3

I own both the PS3 & 360. I must say I clock many more hours on my PS3, especially since MSG4 has come out. I also beta test Home. Its a great idea and will add some cool elements to the online space, but so far it hasn't been executed very well.... [ Read full comment... ]
