Call it whatever you want, further rumoured details become apparent about the Xbox successor...
A few specific details on the Xbox2/Xbox360/Xenon today became apparent thanks to GameFront, quoting a source that has apparently been correct on a number of occasions when it comes to information on Microsoftâs next-gen console, the following aspects have allegedly been identified:
- Apparently all Xbox2 titles will need to be Live! aware, so that gamers can easily recognise who is playing what.
- The media player within Xbox2 is built upon Windows-Media 9 and is set to establish the Xbox2 sitting alongside your PC to transfer and view movie footage.
- The Xbox2 will feature support for MP3 and WMA files.
- Games and other software will be stored on 7GB Dual-Layer DVDs.
- The Xbox2 HDD is an optional purchase.
Naturally weâll have to wait a little longer before knowing for sure, however as the date to the Xbox2 announcement comes closer into view, we expect the credibility of these rumours to become more credible.
