Sam Fisher returns to make his next-gen debut in Spring 2006...
Ubisoft has today confirmed that Tom Clancyâs Splinter Cell is set to appear on the next-generation consoles in Spring 2006. Few details are known at this stage, but the end of Q1/beginning of Q2 release window shouldnât be too surprising, as the franchise has traditionally been released around that time.
The news of the franchise's leap to the new machines has been expected for sometime with rumours circulating around the web for the last few months that Splinter Cell would return, but now it's been formally confirmed. The announcement was made as a teaser trailer for the game was shown at the event with two characters with specialist headgear (neither of which look like Fisher); one manages to detect that he's being followed and initiates a chokehold on his 'victim'.
