Take-Two label reveals relish for the next-gen Microsoft console...
2K Sports, part of Take-Two Interactive, has today revealed further features surrounding its Xbox 360 titles set for release this Winter on the next-gen console.
"I'm extremely excited about X05 as it gives us a chance to show off an incredible line-up under an exciting new brand - 2K Sports. The 2K line of products has always been rated among the best and now we have a brand that recognises this legacy," said Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts, a 2K Sports studio. "This year, the 2K Sports line-up has grown significantly and features titles produced in our internal studios by Visual Concepts, Kush Games and Indie Built. Each of these studios has developed award-winning sports titles and they are committed to delivering the most realistic and entertaining sports experience possible."
Top Spin 2 is the follow-up to one of the most successful tennis titles in recent years and will enable gamers to take part in a range of modes and face up to twenty-four of the worldâs top tennis players including Andy Roddick, Tim Henman, Carlos Moya, Lleyton Hewitt, Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Ai Sugiyama and Lindsay Davenport. Featuring breathtaking visuals and the ability to crate a âDigital Identity,â players can customise their own player with a range of physical attributes and attitudes, and the Grand Slam Mode will allow gamers to train their designed player through several seasons as they try to become a top ranked tennis pro.
NHL 2K6 will continue to bring realistic skating action on both Xbox 360 and Xbox with a range of features exclusive to the new machine. Thanks to the power of Xbox 360, gamers will be able to enjoy a visual feast of detail including ice-degradation such as ruts and reflections, improved physics, player models and animations, as well as a fully 3D crowd. Bob Cole and Harry Neale will also bring in-game commentary to the player together with a new presentation. Trademarked gameplay features such as ProControl Action, Enforcer System, and Maximum Goaltending aim to bring the videogame closer to the realistic sport of Ice Hockey.
Xbox 360 exclusive features will also be evident in NBA 2K6 as agmers prepare to take to the courts with the latest incarnation of the franchise. As well as featuring the latest player records, NBA 2K6 will also include TrueCloth technology to bring a greater sense of realism in the flow of the player's clothing, with HDR lighting effects and advanced player models creating a visual style never seen before. Physical changes in the basket players including sweat and muscle driven 'body morphs' will take the recreation of the game a whole new level. The game will also feature 'The Crib' that players can deck out by earning (and subsequently spending) points throughout the game.
Weâll have more on these and 2K Sports' other Xbox 360 titles in the futureâ¦
