TVG dishes the dirt on a new console exclusive heading your way...
TVG today uncovered a new X-Men title believed to be in the works at Raven Software. Entitled X-Men: Legends, the console exclusive action/rpg will be released on the Playstation2, Xbox and GameCube later in the year and marks Ravenās first attempt at a console title.
Featuring 19 of the most popular mutants from various time periods, players pick up to four characters to control in a group; sources claim to expect a title similar to Baldurās Gate: Dark Alliance, whilst players will have the chance to pull off visually impressive team-styled combos.
Whilst specific details are extremely sketchy, itās believed the character list currently includes:
- Iceman
- Gambit
- Forge
- Beast
- Jean Grey
- Wolverine
- Cyclops
- Storm
- Colossus
- Psylocke
- Nightcrawler
- Angel
Marvel writers have been enlisted to provide the games backstory, which is claimed to focus on the coming-of-age stories of the various characters.
Weāre certainly intrigued by this one and are glad to see the X-Men license being used in a game other then the typical action/adventure territory; weāll do our best to uncover more details and hopefully the first screens soonā¦
