In ages past, an island called Illusia floated at the center of the world. At the heart of the island towered an ancient, enormous tree that stretched up to the very heavens. For ages past, chaos and sorrow had engulfed the world until at last its salvation appeared in the form of a boy, a girl, and a holy sword. Time flowed on and peace returned. The sword and the tree remained, and they soon came to be known as the Sword of Mana and the Mana Tree.

World Of Mana To Mana-fest On Multi-Formats News

Square-Enix hints that the World of Mana may be about to go multi-format, twelve months after the first images are released

At the recently held Square-Enix Party 2005, the company hinted that the long awaited title (and follow-up to the SNES classic) World of Mana would be released on a number of formats. Originally for release on Nintendo DS, the first images were released in July 2004 with very little else has released in the twelve months since â“ including confirmation of what platforms the game will eventually launched on.

Besides adding to the intrigue at the Party, Square-Enix has also released a teasing World of Mana microsite on the web. We await further news on the gameâ¦
