Konami confirm a Japanese release of Winning Eleven 6 in Japan and online PS2 details!!!

Konami today announced the release of Winning Eleven 6 for the Playstation2 and GameCube in Japan. Weâve known for a while that the series was heading to the GameCube, hopefully a Western release wonât be too far behind.

In other Winning Eleven news, it appears that the PS2 version will be re-released featuring online support. Asides from featuring the improvements of the European version (Pro Evolution Soccer 2), you'll be able to download data such as up-to-date team formations and the latest ransfers, hopefulyl the first sign towards Winning Eleven: Online edition???

Winning Eleven 6 is set to be re-released in Japan on the Playstation2 on December 12th, with the GameCube version following on January 30th.
