The Balance Board for Nintendo's Wii Fit gets its first third-party outing in Namco Bandai's Family Ski...

Wiifanboy is reporting that Namco Bandai's Family Ski will utilise the Wii's Balance Board peripheral. This makes it the first game (other than Wii Fit) that the peripheral has been associated with. The Balance Board's two pressure sensitive pads, setup almost like a weighing machine, make it perfect for use in a game like Family Ski.

Not much is known in Europe about the Nintendo Wii's Balance Board, set for release alongside Nintendo's Wii Fit game. Both peripheral and game are set for release this Christmas season over in Japan, meaning that we could receive them anytime in the next year or so.

Wii gamers may have an even longer wait for the release of Family Ski in Europe, with the titles ETA set at 2007/early 2008 in Japan.

I got a good workout the moment I bought Wii Fit. Carrying it around as I did my shopping on a hot day and I had lost a few pounds before it was even out of the box (and thats not just the 53 pounds in my back pocket)

Well I suppose your weight is going to substantially drop after taking 70 notes from your back pocket - so in a way, Wii Fit is already working before you've even plugged it in :)

Oooh, I hate how the US and asian market always treat the EUropean market as worthless. No gun, no wiifit... nothing for christmas. These would've been the perfect presents for my somewhat crazy niece! :)
