The Prince of Persia returns from the Island of Time to Babylon with his love Kaileena. Instead of the peace that he longs for, he finds his homeland ravaged by war and the kingdom turned against him. The Prince is rapidly captured and Kaileena has no choice but to sacrifice herself and unleash the Sands of Time in order to save him. Now cast to the streets and hunted as a fugitive, the Prince soon discovers that past battles have given rise to a deadly Dark Prince, whose spirit gradually possesses him...

Wii Prince of Persia "Based On Two Thrones" News

Ubisoft confirms some of the details surrounding Wii's Prince of Persia adventure...

Confirmed earlier in the year, Ubisoft has today announced further details (including a release period of March 2007) for Prince of Persia on Wii.

Based closely on 2005's Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, Prince of Persia: Rival Swords on Wii will include functionality for the Wii-mote's accelerometers, and follows the return of the Prince to a war-torn Bablyon with his love, Kaileena. A PSP version of The Two Thrones, also called Rival Swords, is set to be released on January 12th 2007.

Hopefully Rival Swords will be the last of Ubisoft's so-called "Wii-makes", including Far Cry: Vengeance, Monster 4X4 World Circuit, and Splinter Cell: Double Agent, which have made up a significant part of the publisher's Wii output to date...
