The hit combination of Wii Sports and the Wii Remote brought golf swings and tennis serves into people's homes. Now Nintendo turns the living room into a fitness center for the whole family with Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board. Family members will have fun getting a workout, and talking about and comparing their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu. Wii Fit includes more than 40 types of training activities designed to appeal to all.

Wii Fit UK Launch Date Set News

Nintendo of Europe confirms a late April release for the fitness title...

Already available in Japan, Nintendo of Europe has today confirmed that Wii Fit, which includes the Wii Balance Board, will arrive in the UK on April 25th.

Launching over three weeks ahead of its planned North American release in mid-May, Wii Fit features over forty different exercises across fitness groups such as aerobics and yoga, as well as measuring each user's Body Mass Index and progress over time. The title is the latest to press ahead Nintendo's target for an extended audience of gamers, following the likes of Brain Training and Wii Sports.

Wii Fit sold over one million units within a month of its launch in Japan, and has continued to be popular in the Far Eastern territory.

I got a good workout the moment I bought Wii Fit. Carrying it around as I did my shopping on a hot day and I had lost a few pounds before it was even out of the box (and thats not just the 53 pounds in my back pocket)

Well I suppose your weight is going to substantially drop after taking 70 notes from your back pocket - so in a way, Wii Fit is already working before you've even plugged it in :)

Oooh, I hate how the US and asian market always treat the EUropean market as worthless. No gun, no wiifit... nothing for christmas. These would've been the perfect presents for my somewhat crazy niece! :)
