Now Nintendo turns the living room into a fitness center for the whole family with Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board. Family members will have fun getting a workout, and talking about and comparing their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu. Wii Fit includes more than 40 types of training activities designed to appeal to all.

Wii Fit Priced For Europe? News

Getting fitter with Wii comes at a cost, quite a heavy cost it seems...

European Wii owners looking to get fit this spring with the release of Wii Fit may find themselves baulking at the price when the title arrives in the territory on April 25th.

According to information from Eurogamer, Wii Fit along with the Balance Board will cost the princely sum of £69.99, or 89.99 euros on the continent. Although it does come with the rather impressive peripheral, it's hard to imagine Wii Fit matching the Japanese success, flying off to a million sales within its first few weeks.

As a comparison Wii Fit is available across Japan for 11,540 yen, which given the current exchange rate, works out at the slightly more attractive price of £55 - call us skinflints, but that £14 seems to make such a difference.

Obviously, Nintendo knows how to make money at the moment, so what do we know, expect the Wii Fit hysteria to commence shortly.

I got a good workout the moment I bought Wii Fit. Carrying it around as I did my shopping on a hot day and I had lost a few pounds before it was even out of the box (and thats not just the 53 pounds in my back pocket)

Well I suppose your weight is going to substantially drop after taking 70 notes from your back pocket - so in a way, Wii Fit is already working before you've even plugged it in :)

Oooh, I hate how the US and asian market always treat the EUropean market as worthless. No gun, no wiifit... nothing for christmas. These would've been the perfect presents for my somewhat crazy niece! :)
