Wii/PS2 Owners Find Themselves Alone In The Dark News

Atari confirms that Hydravision are working on hard to take Wii & PlayStation 2 owners into the nightmare in Central Park...
Currently in development at Eden Studios for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Atari has announced that PlayStation 2 and Wii versions of Alone in the Dark are being produced courtesy of Hydravision.
Known for their work in the survival horror genre thanks to the high school and college-set thrillers ObsCure and ObsCure II on PlayStation 2, Hydravision are developing the two editions so they take advantage of each console's strengths - including motion control functionality on Wii.
"Realising the enormous ambition of Alone in the Dark is a huge technological challenge, which becomes even more demanding on Wii and PlayStation 2," said Mathias Hautefort, Executive Vice President of publishing and production, Atari. "However, we're certain players will be impressed with what Hydravision have achieved on the two consoles, not least with the Wii game which is perfectly adapted to the gameplay thanks to the console's unique controllers."
Alone in the Dark is set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and PlayStation 2 in early 2008.
