Famitsu reveals new details on the sequel that we desperately want to see released over here...
The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed further details on Aquireâs forthcoming PS2 title â“ Samurai 2/Way of the Samurai 2.
The game will be set on a fictional island named Amahara during the Edo period. Under exclusive rights, Amahara residents have the privilege to make contact with the outside world in a time when external influences were prohibited. As such the island of Amahara is full of foreigners and merchandise from the rest of the world, but unfortunately this has brought its own set of problems with violence and politics rife in the region.
As with the original, players can select from three different characters â“ a youth, a wild warrior or a trained sword master. In keeping with the excellent direction of the original, the main character has no background information or personality, leaving it up to the player to choose his destiny.
Samurai 2 will feature more weapons and stances then were featured in the original, whilst the article also reveals that shops will feature in the sequel.
Samurai 2 is scheduled for a Japanese release in October; hopefully somebody will see the sense and pick this up for a European release.
