Warlords To Converge On Civilization IV News

2K Games confirm details of the first Civ IV expansion pack set to hit retailers this summer...
2K Games has today announced the development of Civilization IV: Warlords, the first expansion pack for last year's fourth instalment in the Civ series. Released in October 2005, Civilization IV has already sold over one million copies, and 2K are hoping that Warlords will continue that success when it hits shops this summer.
Civilization IV: Warlords will feature six new scenarios together with the new Warlord unit, which can help players change the course of history. In addition, six new civilizations, ten new leaders, unit types, and Wonders of the World will be included in the pack. The new scenarios take place across over 1600 years of history from the Peloponnesian Wars in 430BC, the Unification of China in 350BC and the Conquests of Alexander the Great in 330BC, through to the emergence of the Vikings in 800AD and the rule of Gengis Khan in 1206AD.
"Civilization IV has been a great success for us," said Christoph Hartmann, Managing Director of 2K Games. "We believe Warlords will exceed the extremely high demands of gamers worldwide with new additions to its already successful formula."
