Grab your chance of picking up an Alienware PC gaming system just by playing the Ground Control II multiplayer demo…
Vivendi-Universal today announced the release of the eagerly awaited Ground Control II: Operation Exodus multiplayer demo, alongside details on the first worldwide Ground Control II Tournament to celebrate the release.
On June 12th the multiplayer demo will launch, featuring two tutorial missions, three online multiplayer maps, and one single-player map from the previously released single-player demo. The demo incorporates both factions, namely the NSA (Northern Star Alliance) and the Viron Nomads, allowing gamers to experience the variety of tactics employed by both races.
In addition Vivendi-Universal and Massive Entertainment have teamed up with Alienware and Nvidia, to bring you the chance of winning a truckload of goodies and prizes, including the latest graphics cards from Nvidia and top-notch gaming PCs from Alienware to exclusive signed copies of the game.
Beginning on June 12th at 6pm (CET) and ending on June 21st at the same time, those interested in taking part simply need to download the demo and join the human faction of the NSA or the alien Viron warriors â“ everybody who partakes in the online multiplayer demo will automatically be part of the tournament.
The rules are as follow:
- Every three days (12th, 15th,18th at 6pm CET / 9am PST ) a new round of the tournament starts
- At the start of each round of the tournament the Massgate ⢠ladder for all regions will be reset
- At the end of every round, the ladder will be frozen and the top ten ranking players on the ladder will win a prize, with the highest ranking player receiving one of the top prizes, to be announced for each round
- Every player who has won in one of the previous rounds will not be eligible for the same prize again â“ so if a player made it to the top ten, but did not win the main prize, can try to make number one in the next round
- There will be separate ladders for each region: North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific
- Players need to have given a valid email address to join â“ VUG will not be responsible for tracking down winners with invalid or wrong email addresses
- Did we mention everybody can enter? So, what are you waiting for?
