Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

Cut price download pack for Bethesda's RPG aimed at some of the more wicked characters...


Bethesda has today revealed new downloadable content for the PC and Xbox 360 RPG, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The DLC, called "Vile Lair", has been constructed specifically for some of the more murderous and malicious players in the game, and is described as a 'safe haven' for such types.

Based underwater, the haven will also provide 'food' for characters suffering from the effects of vampirism in the form of a cattle pen, and a Dark Minion that will collect gold for players.

The Vile Lair will be available from July 13th for $1.89, lower than the $2.99 usually set for Oblivion DLC; the cost of the content via Xbox Live is yet to be confirmed.

all of you people that say its not working becasue a quest pop up wont come thats not important its a minor script problem all you do is go to the island og near the bravil in niban bay and whenn your there you can get the quest message and the game... [ Read full comment... ]

im having the same problem as every1 elss iv got the knights of the nine and shivering isles but no profit no gate even after literaly 1000 hours in every city every part of the imperial city too im giving up! (even after the upgrade to oblivion 1.2)

I got Shivering Isles for 360,but when I enter the Strange Door,the loading screen comes up,then nothing else. The game doesn't freeze(My xbox is working,and the music is still playing in the background of the loading screen)yet, the area never loads... [ Read full comment... ]

It says that i've downloaded it onto my xbox and oblivion, but when i wait or sleep 24 hours it does not come up with a quest!
