New screens from one of the most impressive looking titles we've ever seen.
Every so often a game has those distinctive marks that sets it out in a vastly crowded market, a game so original, a game with flair, a game to breathe new life into an industry that is becoming stale with multi-format releases, sequels and an obsession with licenses.
That particular game in question has to be Viewtiful Joe, not since the Saturn title, Nights: Into Dreams, has this particular editor got so interested in a game in development. Whilst Capcom are still remaining tightly lipped about the game, we do know that it takes its inspiration from the classic 2D side-scroller such as Streets of Rage and Final Fight, a genre that has fallen by the wayside in the transition from 2D to 3D.
Well fighting fans, Viewtiful Joe looks to kick the genre back into shape with a big bang, thanks to the guys who know the 2D beat-em-up best. The game places players into the role of the titular Viewtiful Joe, however this isnāt a simple mindless button-basher, oh no, as the game seems to focus on skill and style, you only have to take a look at the video and these new screens to realise this is something special in the making.
