Customised version of the Half-Life 2 engine set to bring new experiences to Xbox 360...

Half-Life developer Valve has today confirmed development on a number of titles for Xbox 360, which will be powered by a customised version of the Half-Life 2 engine, Source.

Making the announcement Gabe Newell, President and Co-Founder of Valve said, "The combination of Source and the 360 provides game designers the chance to create powerful entertainment experiences...Whether developing a traditional FPS, RTS, RPG or delving into new genres, the Xbox 360 is a great platform for expanding Source and our game experiences."

Although currently untitled, the collective 'Valve 360' products are set to utilise the power of the next-gen console, including Xbox Live gaming functionality. Expect more news to trickle out of Valve at E3.

We'll have more news shortly...
