The cheap publicity stunts continue with confirmation that Vader's secret apprentice will appear on 360 and PS3...


Soulcalibur fans can continue to weep at the embarrassment that the once mighty fighting franchise now finds itself cursed by, with confirmation from Gamespot that Darth Vader's secret apprentice will be featuring in both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Soulcalibur 4.

Soulcalibur purists should embark on a crusade to Namco Bandai's Japanese offices now to protest against the cheap tricks and publicity stunts. We're not against cameos and bonus fighters, but we feel that this affinity between Soulcalibur and Star Wars is getting a little out of hand; surely it's not being too cynical to judge this as nothing more than a blatant attempt to promote LucasArts' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Perhaps it's just us, but surely some of you have got to agree that the crossover is weakening the Soulcalibur universe. Where to next Namco-Bandai, Ewoks, Young Anakin, Jar-Jar Binks; why don't we just call it Soulcalibur Vs. Star Wars? Our soul stopped burning a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away!

I have always enjoyed playing soulcal, and am sure this game will be fun to play as well.

The story doesn't really matter in a game like this.

Also, what exactlly can make someone a "good gamer" vs being a "bad gamer"
