VU Gets Real About Unreal Engine 3 News

Vivendi-Universal announce a studio-wide licence agreement with Epic for Unreal Engine 3 technology...
In a joint statement Vivendi-Universal and Epic Games have announced a studio-wide licence agreement that will see VU Games use the Unreal Engine 3 technology and tools in the development of next-generation titles. Specific titles are yet to be confirmed, although they are expected to beginning launching in 2006.
âOur licensing agreement with Epic Games underscores VU Gamesâ commitment to developing top tier next generation products,â said Peter Della Penna, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Product Development for VU Games. âUnreal Engine 3 technology will enable us to create exceptional high quality next gen titles in a productive and cost effective fashion.â
Mark Rein, Vice President and Co-founder of Epic Games said âVU Games has an incredible lineup of internal and external development teams that we know are going to benefit from working with Unreal Engine 3.â
