Both PC and Xbox 360 Bioshock gamers will be able to download fixes and new content as of tomorrow...

As promised last Friday on the official Bioshock website (The Cult of Rapture), Bioshock fans will be able to get their hands on a patch, update and downloadable content as of tomorrow. Further details on the site have revealed that the PC patch will be available for download from the website at midnight, Pacific Standard Time (8:00am Greenwich Mean Time) tomorrow.

The patch for owners of the PC game is set to include fixes for various problems, as well as fresh content such as new Plasmids and Gene Tonics (Sonic Boom, Sonic Boom 2, Eve Saver, Machine Buster, Machine - Buster 2, Vending Expert, Vending Expert 2).

PC gamers will also be able to disable Vita-Chambers with the new patch, effectively disabling save points and increasing the game's difficulty. Other additions include support for a walk toggle keybind, as well as a horizontal FOV lock option.

Xbox 360 owners, on the other hand, will also get an update via Xbox Live that will fix various bugs. Additionally, downloadable content will also be made available providing the same Vita-Chamber disabling option, as well as a new Plasmid Pack (to include Machine Buster 1 & 2, Vending Expert 1 & 2, Sonic Boom 1 & 2, EVE Saver).

A new achievement is also being added for the more obsessed Xbox 360 Bioshock gamers amongst us. Completing the game on hard without using a Vita-Chamber will now unlock 'Brass-Balls' and give the bearer 100 gamer points.

I'm as hyped for this movie as the Halo movie, but I hope they go into detail about Rapture before Fontaine, as well as somehow show both endings. (Plot twist for me was a bit predictable.)

I haven't finished bioshock yet, but from what I have played of it, this game rocks!!! I figure I have about an hour or so of game to go, and so far so good. The variety of plasmids & weapons is great, no complaints here. It does make me wonder, ... [ Read full comment... ]
