Epic reveals more details on the forthcoming Xbox addition to the Unreal franchise…
After the news in July that Midway had acquired the publishing rights from Microsoft Games Studios, the gameâs developers, Epic Games, have revealed more details about this anticipated title.
First of all, Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict will include hand-to-hand combat that according to Epic is, âseamlessly melded with Unreal's trademark fast-paced shooter action.â The game will also feature third-person navigation that will enable players to, âpull off incredible acrobatic combo-moves.â
The Liandri Conflict will also feature what Epic are describing as âAdrenaline Powersâ. These powers will apparently enable players to repel various projectiles and, âinvoke powers for new offensive and defensive tactics.â
As well as promising to include a strong Single-Player option, Epic has announced that Unreal 2 will be Xbox Live! compatible, with up to 8 players fighting against each other in the game. This function will also be available offline with the use of the System Link cable.
