Universe At War Invades TVG's Game Of The Month News

The SEGA/Petroglyph RTS becomes the TVG Game of the Month for January 2008...

Kicking off the year with aplomb is Universe at War: Earth Assault, the first title to emerge from a new partnership between SEGA and Petroglyph Games, which has been awarded the TVG Game of the Month for January 2008.

Currently available on PC, although an Xbox 360 version with cross-platform gameplay is scheduled for launch later in the spring, Universe at War integrates solid 'traditional' RTS gameplay with a mix of new features and the compelling online mode, Conquer the World.

Speaking about the game's recognition by TVG, SEGA Europe Marketing Manager Darren Williams commented: "We're delighted that TVG have recognised Universe At War as their January game of the month. It's a great boost to SEGA to see that such a classic-style RTS can be as well received as it has been and this award makes us very proud of our game".

So the gauntlet has been thrown down; who will take the top spot in February? Well SEGA has another title in the running thanks to Bizarre Creations' The Club, due for release on February 8th - can they do the double?

I also agree that this is the best game of 2008. Game developers must take a few tips when playing this.
