Long suffering Ultima Online fans look likely to finally have something to celebrate, with confirmation that the Ultima team, formerly known as Origin before the heavy disbandment imposed by EA, will be working closely with EA Mythic on the future of the franchise.

Although no details have currently been divulged, at least the news gives some hope that the brand has a long-term future after the cancellation of Ultima Online 2 in 2001 and Ultima X: Odyssey later in 2004.
