Ubisoft To Bring Lumines to Europe News

Mizuguchi’s new addictive PSP puzzler set to be published in Europe by Ubisoft...
Ubisoft has today announced that it is to publish Lumines on the PSP when the handheld launches in Europe. The game, which has been developed by Rez creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi, has proved to be a big hit in Japan, where it has gone on to sell over 40,000 units since the Japanese launch of the PSP in December 2004. The news follows the announcement the news in February that Ubi would also be publishing the title in US.
Confirming the deal, John Parkes, Director of Marketing at Ubisoft said, âUbisoft
is thrilled to partner with Bandai and Q ENTERTAINMENT to bring Lumines for the PSP to the European launchâ¦Lumines is such a unique and exciting title, we're very pleased to add it to Ubisoft's lineup of superior games.â
Weâve been playing Lumines on our PSP for quite a while now and if we can tear ourselves away from it weâll bring you a review soon. In the meantime the game can be summed up as being the 21st Century Tetris with a Rez style kicking soundtrack.
We are of course still waiting for an official PSP launch date for Europe, which weâll bring to you as soon as itâs announced...
