There's little doubt that with seven titles set to launch side-by-side with Nintendo Wii on December 8th, Ubisoft is leading the third-party support for the next-gen system. Today, that support is further strengthened by news that the publisher will be releasing a further seven titles for the console by March 2007.
Confirmation of the new titles came as Ubisoft announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2007, with CEO and President Yves Guillemot stating:
"Ubisoft managed to take full advantage of Microsoft's Xbox 360 and should now benefit from the much awaited PlayStation 3 and Wii launches, with in particular 7 titles available for the Wii...We have the second largest creation workforce in the industry, which we have built up over the past 10 years, and a powerful and wide-reaching distribution network. Ubisoft has ideally positioned itself to outperform the very strong growth of the market in the coming years."
The publisher announced that one of the seven titles would be a new IP - expect more details in future weeks...
