It may have been trademarked at the United States Patent & Trademarks Office a while ago, and rumours that Miss Assassin's Creed herself, Jade Raymond, was being parachuted for the tail end of development may have only appeared in the last couple of weeks, but Ubisoft has finally confirmed the existence of I Am Alive.

Set in a post-disaster struck Chicago, I Am Alive aims to give players a 'sense of scale and the fearful urgency of emotions' of someone fending for themselves in the ruined city. Little else is know about the title so far, other than its being scheduled for a release on 'current-generation' consoles during Spring 2009.

"Ubisoft continues to create new experiences for players and I Am Alive will appeal to anyone that enjoys a thrilling journey," said Yves Guillemot, chief executive officer, at Ubisoft. "The game will offer a rich palette of emotions while challenging players to make life-changing decisions."
