Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

French publisher confirms co-publishing duties to the PlayStation3 adaptation and PSP title...

Having previously brought Bethesda's Elder Scrolls: Morrowind to Europe, Ubisoft today rekindled its ties with the US developer and epic RPG series, confirming that it will publish the recently confirmed Playstation3 port of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion along with the PSP title Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion.

Due for release in time for the European launch of the Playstation3 and with a spring 2007 release pencilled in for Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion, the announcement comes as a surprise given the role of 2K Games in the PC and Xbox 360 versions.

"We are pleased to partner with Bethesda Softworks to bring this landmark role-playing game to all PlayStation fans," said Alain Corre EMEA Executive Director. "No doubt that this brand new version will continue the great Oblivion success story"

For those that say that BlueRay is slow on loading you are not correct. This would be like saying a 4X DVD is slower than a 12X CD player. They are two different formats. BlueRay is definitely not slow. Also the guy who said that the 360 version ... [ Read full comment... ]
