Ubisoft Release Q1`06 Results News

Group targets met in the first quarter 2005 results from Ubisoft...
Ubisoft has today released its financial results for Q1 of the 2005-2006 fiscal year which ended on June 30th 2005. Although Net Sales were down by 18 million Euros, the figure of 43 million Euros was in line with the companyâs expectations. With the company focuses on a raft of releases during Q2, Ubisoft expects 1st Half sales to reach 155 million Euros, a 20% increase on the same period in the previous year. Ubisoft has also raised its Net Income expectations for 2005-2006 by 8 million Euros up to 38 million Euros
The main title during Q1â06 was Star Wars: Episode III â“ Revenge of the Sith on GameBoy Advance and Nintendo DS, which sold 565,000 copies in the first two months of sales and ranked Number 1 in the US Nintendo DS charts and Number 2 in the UK Nintendo DS charts during May and June.
