Forming part of a long-term partnership with LucasArts, Ubisoft announces Star Wars: Lethal Alliance for DS and PSP...
Ubisoft has today confirmed development of Star Wars: Lethal Alliance for Nintendo DS and PSP. The game, which is being developed by the company's studios in Montreal (PSP) and Casablanca (DS), is set between the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope and follows Twi'lek Rianna Saren and her security droid Zeeo as they track the secret weapon of the Empire: the Death Star.
"Ubisoft is honored to announce this exciting and innovative Star Wars game, the first original game in the legendary franchise built to take full advantage of the unique capabilities of both the PSP system and the DS," said Serge Hascoet, chief creative officer at Ubisoft. "We have worked closely with LucasArts to create a game that further develops the Star Wars universe, and unveils some of the mysteries that have kept millions of fans enthralled for decades."
Featuring a raft of well-known Star Wars locations and characters, including Boba Fett and Expanded Universe's Kyle Katarn, each version of the game is being developed to take advantage of the functionality offered by both platform.
The title is the first of a long-term partnership between LucasArts and Ubisoft, and will be released in time for Christmas 2006.
