All-new campaign and plenty of links to Arkane's Might & Magic first-person-shooter...
Ubisoft will deliver the concluding chapter to Might of Magic V later this year, with the release of a stand-alone expansion pack currently in development at Nival Interactive.
"With a vast array of new content and an engaging, epic narrative, Heroes of Might & Magic V: Tribes of the East will thrill devoted fans of the series," said John Parkes, EMEA marketing director at Ubisoft. "It's a fitting end to Heroes V - the most accessible chapter yet combined with the industry-leading quality that has made the Heroes franchise a benchmark for strategy gaming."
Promising an experience that will "allow both long-term fans and series newcomers to enjoy the dramatic evolution and conclusion" of the Heroes V chapter, Heroes of Might & Magic V: Tribes of the East introduces the Orcs as a playable race after making their debut in the troubled first-person-shooter, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. Chronicling the final chapter in the tale that began with the interrupted wedding ceremony of Queen Isabel, Tribes of the East follows the steps of the Necrolord Arantir as he uncovers the prophecy of the Dark Messiah and exposes the Demon Sovereign's conspiracy.
An all-new campaign focuses on the conclusion of the usurper Biara's reign and introduces characters from Arkane Studios' first-person-shooter, in what Ubisoft promises will provide an unexpected twist to the multi-layered plot.
Tribes of East also introduces an alternative upgrade level for each unit, bringing the total number of creatures to over 170, whilst also adding a range of new spells, artefacts, and buildings. Fans of Heroes of Might & Magic multiplayer will also receive new content, with the addition of ten new maps.
