Sales and profits rise for the French publisher during 2003/2004…
Ubisoft today celebrated a strong 2003-2004 financial year, with the confirmation that sales during the period rose by 22.5%, totalling close to 432 million euros.
The period saw Ubisoftâs debt shrink to 119 million euros, whilst its net income came in at 9 million euros.
With a number of high-profile titles on its books, Ubisoft predicted continued success into the 2004-2005 period, predicting that its profit and net income would both increase to 38-43 million euros and 17-21 million euros respectively.
Certainly the success can be attributed to the Tom Clancy range; games of which include Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six, have all been major sellers for the French publisher. Ubisoft confirmed that Prince of Persia had done well, although sales of both XIII and Beyond Good and Evil were disappointing.
