French publisher confirms first details on I-Ball Control system...
Ubisoft today released new details on its forthcoming entrance into the sports genre with AND1 Streetball. Scheduled for release on the Xbox and Playstation2 in March 2006, AND1 Streetball aspires to raise the bar for sports games with the revolutionary I-Ball Control system.
I-Ball Control utilises both analogue sticks to provide an intuitive control system allowing fluid and precise command over every offensive and defensive move, stringing them together seamlessly and coined from a phrase originated by AND1 as an expression to inspire players to develop their own style.
With over 130 different moves within the game, each motion-captured from the AND1 legends such as The Professor, AO, Main Event and many more, AND1 Streetball features everything from playground moves to ball tricks, dunks and alley oops. Using the I-Ball Control players can earn Respect Points which measure the baller's ability to amaze the crowd and earn the respect of the other players. The more original the move the more points you'll receive, whilst extra moves are unlocked by beating certain players.
