Torino 2006 gold medallist Shawn White to get signiture game in 2007...
Timed somewhat appropriately Ubisoft has today announced that it's signed snowboarding gold medallist - and six time X Game gold medallist - Shawn White for a (surprise!) snowboarding title, which will be due out in 2007. Having already stomped at Torino, White is already looking forward to the game:
"I'm stoked to be working with Ubisoft to develop a video game that captures the thrill of snowboarding like no game has done before," White said. "I'm a huge fan of Ubisoft games like Prince of Persia, so I'm excited to be able to combine what I love about snowboarding and gaming into an experience for everyone to enjoy."
Announcing the deal Christian Salomon, Director of Worldwide Licensing commented, "Ubisoft is thrilled to be working on a video game inspired by and created with one of the top athletes in action sports today...As the sport continues to grow in popularity, Ubisoft is looking forward to bringing the groundbreaking innovation and high-quality game play we are famous for in other genres to snowboarding."
The Shawn White game will be developed for current and next-gen consoles...
