Ubisoft announces European publishing agreement for the superb TECMO survival/horror title...
Ubisoft has today confirmed that it has picked up the European and Australian publishing rights for âProject Zero 2: Crimson Butterflyâ from TECMO.
The sequel to the widely acclaimed survival/horror title is in fact a prequel to the original adventure, featuring a new cast of characters and an entirely new storyline. As with the original the game replaces gore and grotesque monsters with more subtle effects, hinting at what may be there and not necessarily showing it â“ the result is a tense psychological thriller akin to the classic Japanese film âThe Ringâ.
"The 'survival / horror' genre is a major slice of the action/adventure games' market and we are very happy to crack into it thanks to our partnership with Tecmo", says Alain Corre, Ubisoft's Managing Director for Europe, Asia Pacific and South America.
"The famous creators of Dead or Alive have now produced a 'state of the art' survival horror title with Project Zero 2. Already critically acclaimed in Japan & in the United States, we believe that European customers will be anxious to get the game when introduced into the market next spring."
âProject Zero 2: Crimson Butterflyâ is scheduled for release in Q2 2004; weâll have more information soon.
