US Official Xbox Rumours Halo 2.5 News

American magazine starts the ball rolling with the rumour that a Director’s Cut of Halo 2 is to be released for Xbox2…
The rumour mill is a wonderful thing; Halo 2 has been out for about a week and already there is talk of Bungie launching a Directorâs Cut of the game for Xbox2 â“ at least that is what the US Official Xbox Magazine is reporting.
The game would build on the current title, but would also include a proper ending (donât worry â“ no spoilers), and further innovations for the Multiplayer mode. However as appealing the thought of this release is, just remember that similar rumours spread after the original Halo, and proved to be unsubstantiated (although satirical Halo fans may argue that Halo 2 is actually Halo 1.5 in disguise.)
With current suggestions that Xbox 2 is to be released in the Autumn of 2005, the idea of an upgraded Halo 2 to launch with the system would be a logical step to make, especially since the likelihood of Bungie finishing (or even starting) Halo 3 in time would be slim to say the least.
