Acclaim Austin recently unveiled the latest title in the Turok series. Turok Evolution marks a change for the Nintendo only franchise, as the game is set to appear on Xbox, Playstation2 and the GameCube. <br /> <br /> Having seen the series decline over recent tiles, the develoeprs are keen to take the game back to its roots. To this end expect jaw-dropping boss encounters to feature, whilst new ideas have been included in the game, these include flying sections and AI controlled allies. The developers are also keen to promote their ``living environments`` that allow the player to interact with them for offensive and defensive advatages. One such aspect is the way that the graphics engine allows for leaves and trees to blow in the wind, so you can see if something is heading towards you in a forest, whilst the trees that populate the levels can all be toppled over with the potential of crushing any unlucky adversaries... <br /> <br /> Turok wouldn`t be Turok without a healthy selection of weapons, such favourites as the Tek Bow are making a comeback, and whilst the developers are staying quiet on the exact line-up, a worthy successor to the Cerebral Bore has been promised! <br /> <br /> Turok Evolution is due to be released on all formats in September, we`ll have a closer look at it very soon, until then make sure to check out the first ever screens.
