'LEGO Star Wars' and 'Bionicle Heroes' producer, Traveller's Tales, has confirmed the acquisition of fellow UK-based developer, Embryonic Studios for an undisclosed sum.

Embryonic Studios, which was only set up in 2005 by former-Digital Anvil and Warthog founder Nick Elms, was behind a number of titles including 'Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone' and 'Star Trek: Invasion'.

Jon Burton from Traveller's Tales commented on the acquisition. He said: "We are delighted to have completed the acquisition. Embryonic possess a very talented workforce that will help drive Traveller's Tales on to further success."

Embryonic's website is currently under-going a re-design, though a link to Traveller's Tales' own site is active on the page.
