Trauma Center: Second Opinion - First Details News

By Chris Leyton on 27/07/2006 Famitsu reveals the low-down on one of the most anticipated Wii titles around...

Few games seem more suited to the motion challenges presented by the Nintendo Wii, then a sequel to Atlus' much-adored Trauma Center. Having confirmed the development of Trauma Center: Second Opinion during E3'06, the latest issue of Famitsu has divulged the first specific information on the title.

Moving away from Derek (in the Japanese version at least), players will assume the role of Kousuke Tsukimori. Taking place in the year 2018, a time when humans are threatened by a serious disease spreading across the globe, Famitsu suggests that Tsukimori has also become infected with the illness.

Utilising the Nunchuk controller and Wiimote, players have to undertake challenges such as performing an incision with the Wiimote, and dabbing the wounds with careful motions of the peripheral. Eight different operation tools are featured in the game, which are selected with appropriate motions of the Nunchuk controller.

With development currently standing at 40% complete, look out for more on Trauma Center: Second Opinion soon.
