More on this gameWe're guessing Lara Croft's return can't come soon enough for Eidos, but it seems we've all got a little while to wait with confirmation of the Tomb Raider: Underworld European release date.
Taking place on November 21st 2008, Tomb Raider Underworld will appear on the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, Wii, PlayStation2, DS and PC simultaneously, suggesting a likely Christmas No.1.
The first game in the series developed specifically for Xbox 360 and PlayStation3, Underworld finds Lara discovering proof of Thor's mythical hammer, a weapon rumoured to have the power to smash mountains into valleys and destroy the Gods themselves.
Visiting ancient ruins, collecting clues, solving puzzles and facing foes both animal and supernatural, Lara can expect to get her hands on enhanced weapons and abilities.
Wii and DS owners will have the advantage of a variety of exclusive features, such as an archaeological toolkit on Wii to excavate hidden areas and secrets with the aid of a compressed air gun, acetylene torch, chisel and pliers.
"We're thrilled to bring back Lara Croft and Tomb Raider at Christmas time on all formats," said Patrick Melchior, Head of European Distribution. "Lara Croft has never looked, acted or played so realistically before. Tomb Raider: Underworld will delight fans and gamers alike as well as being a great gift for the Christmas season!"

Odd review. Anyway I've been playing Underworld for the entire weekend and it's definitely worth your money. I bought this, Left 4 Dead and Dead Space this Friday but have only played the latter 2 for about an hour combined. All my time is being spent with the lovely Lara Croft. It's how exploration really should feel.

$th August Anon - Core are no more. After the Angel of Darkness fiasco they released one forgetable game as a new studio for Capcom that sunk without a trace. They ten got into DVD games, but that didn't last long. The only thing left of them was acquired by fellow UK studio Rebellion quite a long time ago. Toby Gard is the only link between old Lara and new Lara.

Why can't Tomb Raider have both Core and Crystal Dynamics making games? I mean Ratchet and Clank have got 2 different developers making games: Insomniac Games(PS2 and PS3) and High Impact Games(PSP)! CORE could continue the AoD Triology and Crystal Dynamics doing Legend Triology! Doesn't anyone else agree with me? PLEASE REPLY!

You know how Lara has different outfits to change into? Why not do it with the enemies with an option to choose a costume from a past game ex: The blue Strahov guard suits from AOD, Cop outfits etc THAT WOULD BE SO COOL! PLEASE EIDOS PUT IN UNDERWORLD OR THE GAME AFTER UNDERWORLD!!! PLEASE!!!

I am so excited about this game! I'm hoping it's more challenging than Legend and Anniversary. I can beat those games in a day! But you can definitely expect me to be first in line to buy it on December 1st!!

Oh man,I wish that Lara could combine items e.g lasersights and to play as lara's teenage self like the old Ps1 games! I really wish Kurtis would come back and it would be nice to fight old bosses from other games like Japanse Kingdom Hearts 2 did and it also would be nice to have an artifact room having every artifact from every game!! Please Eidos and CD, LISTEN TO US FANS! BRING BACK ALL THE GOOD STUFF,ALL DELETED MOVES FROM CORE'S CANCEALED TR ANNIVERSARY, AOD, and The CLASSIC GAMES! And for god sake, let Lara use stealth. It would be nice to snap bad guys necks and let her do that 3- hit kick combo from AoD. PLEASE!!!!
