Tomb Raider 7 - Summer 2005 News

Comic creators let slip juicy details on the next Tomb Raider, featuring a “redesigned” Lara Croft…

Top Cow Productions in conjunction with Eidos today confirmed plans to âwind downâ the Tomb Raider comic-book series, whilst at the same time letting slip details of the release of Tomb Raider 7.

The original Press Release states that the two companies will be working together to re-launch the series alongside the release of Tomb Raider 7 in the âsummer of 2005â, whilst suggesting that the comic-book creators are actively assisting in the development of the new title and makes some mention of a âredesignedâ main character â“ prompting suggestions that Lara Croft has in fact undergone radical breast implant and botox operations to ensure sheâs still the most popular videogame heroine within male gaming circles.

âOnce we spoke with Eidos and realized they were changing Lara Croft up quite a bit it seemed a prudent course to wrap up what weâre doing now and prepare for the newer version sometime late next year,â says Top Cow President Matt Hawkins.

Whilst specific details on the title are being kept a closely guarded secret, we do know that the title is currently under development at Crystal Dynamics with the possible assistance of Warren Spector, having previously struck the franchise from Core Design after the poor release of Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness.

Weâll have more information soon.

The controls and camera in Tomb Raider Legend are even worse than Tomb Raider AOD. I don't like the analog stick for the caracter movement
